Birthday Dream?

For a night we went up to the ultra modern-retro hotel – Dream in NY for a roof top party (which with the top roof closed the bar came as close to a rooftop as does a penthouse balcony). It was a friend’s birthday celebration bitches! Vikram Chatwal’s new hotel is a trip but billed as a “lounge” upstairs, leaves much to be desired. One room looked like a quasi-library set from the movie Clue and the other main lounge was dark and cramped feeling desperate and having little room disease. The only plus to adding space were the rap-around windows of the dance floor yet you’re looking at other high rises and not necessarily a spectacular view. Go for a view (when the rooftop is open) in the day, but just to check it off you’re list to do in NY. I’m sure Scott et al had a great time, as it was only the warm up spot a night time tour of debauchery – Cheers!

White Heat Party, SF

I never got a chance to post the party info on the site nor have I done a timely review but here’s a quick blurb of the new monthly DJ gig I have in SF. A new crew (new to me) that has thrown a couple of parties before and is starting up a new monthly theme party at the Glass Kat. The first installment of the Liquid Orgazm parties (aren’t they all liquid?) is the white theme.

Photos of the event are available here

Email me for guestlist or if you need any info. Cheers!

2nd Sundays

It’s June 9th and the start of the summer is here. Not signified by the change in heat nor the light in the day. But in the San Francisco Dance club scene, the start is when 2nd Sundays Productions kicks off with their summer party. Absolutly wicked. I haven’t seen so many people at Mission rock since last years 2nd Sunday end of the summer party. What can you say but the party rocked, you should have been there and I’ll be back next month. The only sour point was the unskillful set of Shannon Lolongo (more widely known as DJ Dayhota). I know the girl must have skills some where as she’s plastered up as this new up and coming suppa star female dj but shit this girl trainwrecked harder than any Amtrak wreck I’ve seen…must have been on something which even still is not very professional and I would not recommend seeing her again…just hype.

Some pics here of the party but there is no comparison to being there, living it, feeling it and having that memory.
