I believe this is my fourth season of Fantasy Football. I made a short attempt at attending to a Baseball team, but never could handle the depth and span of all the players, stats, games and strategy. And plucking eyelid hairs seems more enjoyable than attempting to manage a Fantasy golf team. Being on the east, I had a slight advantage to be well rested, awake and ready for the noon time draft. This year I got stuck with my worst pick level yet at 8th and its automatic that I won’t see LT, Shaun Alexander, or this year’s top pick Larry Johnson…
Given that the strategy is to pick up RBs early, I won’t see a lead QB either – McNab, Mannings or Palmer. I’ll have to settle for rolling the dice on WR and hope that the RBs that I am left with will be supper stars this year.
But in all reality, even if you are in the first few top seeds of the draft, you still need to know some depth in the field to pick some great players. I don’t think anyone in this league except for Wang and Burke have the up front knowledge. Sak and Jared just stumble on dumb luck and talk more shit than they can take.
So this year I think I picked up a good team here it is:
Pick – Rank – Player – Position
1. (8) Steven Jackson (RB)
2. (17) Willis McGahee (RB)
3. (32) Matt Hasselbeck (QB)
4. (41) Roy Williams (WR)
5. (56) Todd Heap (TE)
6. (65) Joe Horn (WR)
7. (80) Tatum Bell (RB)
8. (89) Michael Clayton (WR)
9. (104) Atlanta (DEF)
10. (113) Drew Bledsoe (QB)
11. (128) Heath Miller (TE)
12. (137) David Akers (K)
13. (152) Chad Jackson (WR)
14. (161) Dallas (DER)
15. (176) Travis Henry (RB)
I’m telling you now Travis Henry is the sleeper RB of the year… no one will draft him but he’s going to put up some good numbers this year in Tenn.
