2nd Sundays

It’s June 9th and the start of the summer is here. Not signified by the change in heat nor the light in the day. But in the San Francisco Dance club scene, the start is when 2nd Sundays Productions kicks off with their summer party. Absolutly wicked. I haven’t seen so many people at Mission rock since last years 2nd Sunday end of the summer party. What can you say but the party rocked, you should have been there and I’ll be back next month. The only sour point was the unskillful set of Shannon Lolongo (more widely known as DJ Dayhota). I know the girl must have skills some where as she’s plastered up as this new up and coming suppa star female dj but shit this girl trainwrecked harder than any Amtrak wreck I’ve seen…must have been on something which even still is not very professional and I would not recommend seeing her again…just hype.

Some pics here of the party but there is no comparison to being there, living it, feeling it and having that memory.

Fluid Mosaic Recap

I fuckin love playing in front of peeps despite the fact that my drinkin ass slopped through a few [*cough* most] mixes…yeah I have the typical DJ excuses but I don’t give a fuc… The only opinions I care about are mine and mi amigos….So the Martha Stewart decor was lookin dope, sushi rolled tight, drink tix a plenty and champagnia flowin for not just the VIPs but for all the club, and then there were the down sides…

Marque is of course a converted billiards spot in a strip mall converted to a club. The owner/manager at these type of joints is always a dick, and has to fuck it up for the promoter and the partygoers. We roll up that night and they rented some spotlights. Dope touch to this wack club but we didn’t ask for em, and when we closed up and Carlos asked for two-fitty for that shit I told him to fuck off!!! What ever. Everyone seemed to have a good one. Thanks Manks, Mike G, Stilts, for playin’, mi amigos for show in – Jay you tha Man- and everyone else. Next one is only gonna be in the city.

So if you didn’t know I had to slam through a CD for this ChronicTronic Release Mixes party. I didn’t even get it recorded until 4 am on Friday night and so this shit is totally rushed. But who cares. It’s not bad. I’ll post the mix soon but the cover and track listing can be found at the CT web for now…

A weekend well spent. Next up ICE at the BackFlip next Saturday.
