I think America as a country and as a culture is in the midst of a steep decline. History tells us that all empires ultimately come to an end when they rot from within, and in my opinion that’s exactly what’s happening in this country. We are a nation and a culture obsessed and transfixed with image and material things. One of the dozens of ways this is appallingly illustrated is by the skyrocketing number of women getting breast implants and plastic surgery. These are women who clearly loathe themselves and are looking to make themselves ‘better’ by going under the knife to make themselves ‘better’. Physical exercise? Mental exercise (reading books, volunteering, getting involved in government)? NO WAY!! TOO HARD!!! And plus my tits will STILL be too small!
